Whether you’re fishing from a boat or off the bank, these over trousers offer great protection from the elements. They are made from a two layer durable Taslon nylon material which is waterproof, windproof and breathable, and they have fully taped seams throughout.
If the trousers are a little long you can use this Velcro tab closure to clinch the trousers in for a better fit.
An articulated knee section gives a freer range of movement and the trousers have an extra layer of hard wearing fabric on the knees plus substantial padding for cushioning and comfort when kneeling. The seat area to just above the waist has this same padding and protection.
There is a water-resistant fly zip with a metal hook clip on the waistband and the waistband itself is partly elasticated at the back and has a Velcro tab and fastener each side for a customised fit.
A set of adjustable and elasticated 1.5-inch wide webbing braces are fixed to the high waist section at the back and are connected to the front with two quick-release bayonet fittings.
The trousers also feature two thigh box pockets with large flap and Velcro fasteners and a large D-ring. Available in sizes S to XXXL.
VERDICT
I tend to run warm when I’m in fishing gear and because these lined trousers offer a lot of warmth I found I didn’t need to wear any other trousers or leggings underneath. Only if it was bitterly cold would I perhaps wear a set of merino leggings. The overtrousers were an excellent fit and I really liked the cut around the knees and the freedom this offers and the padded seat. Excellent value for money
